Yes! I am proud to say that I am an OTAKU! I lived and breath anime ever since our neighbor purchased their very own tv and every morning I would go to there house just to watch anime since anime here in the Philippines is aired in the morning through Philippine networks ABS-CBN and GMA. Though you may not notice it if you ever see me or if you already know me because I don’t do cosplay, I don’t practice Japanese language, I’ve never been updated with Anime related stuff at all I just basically watch Anime or even attended an Anime stuff event were there are cosplay competition and other stuff and currently I’m not updated with the latest Anime shows and movies anymore since I don’t watch tv and yes I’m always on the net but I do those for work and for my new found love “blogging” plus I have no talent whatsoever in drawings or paintings which is soo sad because I really love to draw but when I start to trace on a paper it produces the wrong results get what I mean? But still, no matter what happens I am still an otaku at heart. So basically one of the things in my bucketlist is to do/fulfill those mentioned above except for those that is no longer achievable in 2016. But I think I need to tick off one item in my bucketlist right now cause I finally attended or went to an otaku and gamers gathering. Well a gathering of sorts, actually what I’m talking about is the yearly(I think) Archon event.
So when I heard about an Anime and convention that will be held in Talisay I immediately bought a ticket for 2 for day one only since I’m currently on a tight budget bohuhuh. Even though I have never been to South Town Centre in Talisay and how an event like that would happen I still went.
I was very excited that day, and I really want to be in costume to go there but as i said I’m on a tight budget so I just settled with jeans and a blouse. When I arrive there I was welcomed with the sight o lots of people in cosplay and taking pictures with each other. Some were making their costumes look more nicer. When we arrive at the gates I was quite disappointed because I thought the venue would be like a huge hall but the venue was not that big and there were like little space to move since there were lots of people. But instead of thinking about the negative I just thought of the event and went in. I was even more greeted with booths that sells different souvenirs or costumes accessories and other stuff like posters and etc. So cut the long story short, here are the photos.
Ooohh, look at them Minions. Who’s a fan? ME!
All in all I enjoyed my short visit to the event. I really missed watching anime huhuhuhuh..what about you do you like anime and are you an otaku just like me. Or are you a certified cosplayer.if you are mind if you give me advices on how to cosplay. Just leave your message or your thoughts below.
loads of love,
